Darren holds the Mountain Instructor Awards and has been climbing for over 19 years, starting off on the gritstone edges of the Peak District. His enthusiam and interest in climbing and mountaineering has taking him throughout the UK to most climbing areas and over to the Alps, North America, Europe and the Greater Ranges of the Himalaya. Alongside working as a Mountaineering Instructor, he teaches part time in a special school He is also a freelance outdoor instructor for a number of Local Authority outdoor centres and helps to organise the trainee workshop programme for the Association of Mountaineering Instructors.
Lucy is a keen and enthusiastic climber and mountain biker who oversees the administration of Mountain Aspirations. Along with climbing on the crags of Yorkshire and the Peak District she has ventured further afield being equally at home on the snowy peaks of the Alps or crusing up routes in Red Rock Canyon. Lucy is also a qualified teacher, yet more importantly is a great mum to our two daughters; Beth and Eve.
